Do you know the famous story when Jesus calmed the storm?

Oh how we want Him to calm our stormy life with just one word,

"SILENCE!"

Then everything is ok again.

One question popped up in my mind when I thought about this story recently. What if Jesus didn't wake up?

Most of us have this fantasy of what a good life God promised should look like because of weird teachings and bad examples. Then when a storm is coming, we're busy casting it away in Jesus name.

But... Jesus slept. Maybe we should too.

If we believe that He knows best, maybe we should trust and let Him get us through the storm.

So sleep. We'll get there.

Have you ever questioned who has actually been influencing our way of following Christ?

What if we do it differently? What if this actually is not about that? What if we can follow Him freely?

In order to be relevant to the modern culture, most of us are trapped in consumerism lifestyle deeper than ever. What is the real cost of reaching out to the lost and making a sustainable life long ministry?

We see religious leaders become ambassadors of worldly lifestyle caring about money more than people. We see how church expansion in fancier building, cooler stage equipment, and pastors are attached to expensive hobbies just to be around the rich.

The reality of "Hate the sin, love the sinner" in the church community be like. Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” (Bible chapter something something).

This is one of the common verse we use to excuse us to reject a certain type of people from joining our community or to kick someone out because they can't play by our rules.

So much for Unconditional Love.

Some say that Love is Revealed Truth. So we can pointing finger revealing truth, judging, and rejecting in the name of Love? No wonder why many still feel alone in the midst of our community because when they be really honest about themselves, we will most likely reject them.

How many Church community who really concern and put effort to preserve the environment?

Our world is moving so fast we need to keep up. Everything must be efficient and effective. We worship professionalism beyond everything, we complain when things do go the way we want. Then we ignore the little things. We are so well adapted with the instant mentality.

We are now more like the world, we believe in everything that's wrapped in plastic.

Have you ever think about where are our trash go? What happen to our plastic bags, bottles, and wrap? What is the cost of our instant mentality lifestyle to God's creation?

“...I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.

I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me..."

This series shows my concern in how this pandemic robbed us of our humanity.

How loving ourselves has been taken to the next level.

It's very hard to stay sane while we're surrounded by insanity.

He defeated death, if we believe in Him maybe we shouldn't fear death no more.
